We have found the best way to arrive at a successfully executed project is to adhere to a proven four step methodology which couples the very best in design to your strategic goals.
The first step in this process is for us to become fully acquainted with your business and objectives. This we call the research phase.
Research
During this initial phase we will have many, many questions – in fact we believe this stage to be pivotal in the eventual joint success of any project.
- What are your marketing objectives for this project?
- Who is your target audience and what are their expectations?
- What message are you trying to convey? What is your end goal?
- Who do you see as being your primary competitors (if any)?
- What examples of the kind of designs do you particularly like? What don’t you like?
Our objective is to find out as much as possible about the core of your business so that we can ensure that our work effectively hones in on those aspects of the project that will make you stand-out. Make your business more successful.
We will also suggest ways to get the most out of your launch or project – this would include search engine optimization, video or audio elements, social media marketing and more.
Concept(s)
Having gathered as much information as we can we then do our own research and prepare a number of graphic ‘mock-ups’ for presentation – the goal here being to arrive at an agreement for the overall ‘look-and-feel’ of the project which serves as the underlying design basis for the project going forward.
Central to our process:
Is there a compelling and clear call-to-action?
Is the design/architecture usable and friendly?
Have we successfully differentiated you from your competitors?
Having agreed the ‘look-and-feel’ we then proceed to the execution stage
Execution
This is where concepts become reality – where rubber hits the road so-to-speak. During this phase, we work hard to make sure that your vision comes to fruition.
In the case of web-design projects we prefer to make available our ‘work-in-progress’ to the client through access to a private and secure development area on our servers. In this way the client has the opportunity to see how the site develops and in that way avoid any surprises at the end.
During this phase we will do the following:
- Construct an intuitive and easy-to-use navigational structure
- Propagate all pages with graphics and content
- Code any technical requirements into the site – including e-Commerce functionality and any interactivity
- Create all dynamic elements like Flash animations, dynamic menus, and multimedia components
Content – it is imperative that all content is made available to us in a timely manner – experience has shown us that delays in getting content to us is one of the primary causes of project delays.
Go Live!
Whether you have a website, a print or packaging project, this final phase is similar in as much as we check, check and double check our work. We ask you to do the same.
Once we are all happy with the end result we ask you to confirm your approval and then it’s ‘go-live’ time!
